Database

A database is a collection of pieces of information stored in a computer. ShopSite Manager uses databases to store information about your products and formatting information. When you make changes in the back office, you are manipulating the databases. Your Web site is then generated based on that data. It is the database format that allows you to make a few small changes that alter a great many pages in your site, without the necessity to edit each page individually.

Previously existing data can be uploaded into ShopSite Manager. This can save you time. The ShopSite software can then be used to modify and configure that data for inclusion in your Web site. Currently, you can download your orders database through the back office orderhandler. In future ShopSite releases, there will be support for downloading data about customers and products from ShopSite to your personal computer.
