Screen: ShopSite > Commerce Setup > States and Countries
The fields on this screen define the states and countries that your customers will be able to choose from when entering billing and shipping addresses.
State/Province |
Select whether you want your customers to type the name of their state or province into a text field or whether they can select from a pull-down menu. You define the contents of the pull-down menu in the State/Province List field.

If you are using a pull-down menu for State/Province selection, this field defines the choices that will be available in the menu.
You can optionally use a format that displays the full state/province name to customers but uses an abbreviation or code in the order information. To use that format, type the full name of a choice, then a semicolon, then the abbreviation or code, such as California;CA. You can indicate that certain lines are invalid choices by following the text with ;n. For example, the first line in the default text is Select a State;n This line will be at the top of the menu (without the ;n). If a customer does not make a selection from the menu and clicks a button to proceed, ShopSite will tell them that they must make a valid choice. |
Checkout Screen Countries |
Select whether you want your customers to type the name of their country into a text field on the checkout screen or whether they can select from a pull-down menu. You define the contents of the pull-down menu in the Country List field. |
Default Selected Country |
Select the country that you want at the top of the list as the default selection for customers. |
Country List |
Use the country list to enable country-specific features.
