Web Server Connection Wizard

The Web Server Connection Wizard can help you fill in the required information on the Web Server Connection screen. You will need some information from the Hosting Service screen in the Preferences section of the ShopSite back office, plus your store login information.

Start your Internet browser.
Log in to your ShopSite back office.

Click Preferences and then Hosting Service.

Follow the directions on the Connection Wizard screen to copy values from the Hosting Service screen into the empty fields (see below for explanations of the fields).

Click OK to see the new settings in the Web Server Connection screen.

URL	If your store uses SSL security (recommended), enter the ShopSite secure URL here, such as https://www.mystore.com/cgi-bin/ss. If your store does not use SSL security, enter the Merchant CGIs URL.
Merchant E-Mail	Enter the Merchant e-mail address from near the top of the Hosting Service screen.
User Name and Password	Enter the user name and password that you use to log in to your ShopSite store. Leave the password field blank if you want to be prompted for your password each time you download orders (for increased security).
Port	If your store is configured to use SSL security, click the HTTPS radio button. Otherwise, click the HTTP radio button. You probably do not need to change the default port numbers unless your hosting provider has given you different port numbers to use.
