Edit Image Attributes

This screen shows the file names and paths of the selected image files, and the actual HTML tags that are used for each image within your ShopSite store. You may want to adjust or add any of the following tags to customize how images look in your store:

alt

Specifies the text to be displayed in text-only browsers and while the image is downloading. ShopSite uses the image name if you do not set a value for alt

border

Specifies the thickness of the border around the image. ShopSite uses a default border of 0, or no border. Different border thicknesses create different effects.

hspace

Adds empty space on both sides of the image, to separate it from surrounding text and other elements. The value you enter here is divided evenly between the left and right sides of the image. ShopSite uses a default hspace of 3.

vspace

Adds empty space above and below the image, to separate it from surrounding text and other elements. The value you enter here is divided evenly between the top and bottom of the image. ShopSite uses a default vspace of 3.

width

Sets the width in pixels of the image. The customer's browser will create a block of this width to hold the image, even before it has fully downloaded the image, and thus it can lay out the other elements on the page correctly. Setting a width that is different from the actual width of the image, whether a gif or jpeg image, usually results in a noticeable loss in quality.

height

Sets the height in pixels of the image. The customer's browser will create a block of this hieght to hold the image, even before it has fully downloaded the image, and thus it can lay out the other elements on the page correctly. Setting a height that is different from the actual height of the image, whether a gif or jpeg image, usually results in a noticeable loss in quality.

lowsrc

Specifies a low-resolution image that should appear quickly on the customer's browser while the high-resolution image loads. You must create high- and low-resolution versions of the same image and upload them both to ShopSite. Edit the attributes of the high-res image and add the lowsrc tag to point to the low-resolution image.

Do not use the align image attribute in the HTML tag, as it conflicts with other controls within ShopSite. Use the various alignment and text wrap fields for pages and products.
