OrderAnywhere Linker

The OrderAnywhere Linker is the easiest way to turn an existing Web site into a commerce-enabled Web site. It allows you to place an [Add to Cart] button next to each product in your Web site without having to rewrite all your pages. You can use your favorite HTML editor to create your store's pages, and then use OrderAnywhere to place [Add to Cart] and [View Cart] buttons anywhere on those pages.


Note:
When you use another application to create your store's pages, ShopSite does not know what is on those pages, and cannot include them in a search. Your customers cannot use ShopSite's product search function with pages that are not created in ShopSite.
  1. Before using the OrderAnywhere Linker, be sure that you have entered the names, prices, and SKUs of all the products in your store into the products database using the Add Product feature.

  2. Make sure that your browser is running, as well as the program that you used to create the pages for your store.

  3. From the OrderAnywhere Linker screen, select one or more products from the list. If you need to create links for all products in your database, you don't need to select any in the list (they will all be selected for you when you click a button).

    Show All Links
    Creates a screen containing [Add to Cart] and [View Cart] buttons for all products in the product database. If you are using text buttons, you can drag and drop (or cut and paste) the buttons onto the program that you use to create the pages for your store. If you are using graphic images for buttons, you must cut and paste the HTML into the other program.
    Show Selected Links
    Creates a screen containing [Add to Cart] and [View Cart] buttons for the products that you selected from the list. If you are using text buttons, you can drag and drop (or cut and paste) the buttons onto the program that you use to create the pages for your store. If you are using graphic images for buttons, you must cut and paste the HTML into the other program.
    Show All HTML
    Creates a screen containing HTML code for [Add to Cart] and [View Cart] buttons for all products in the product database. You can cut and paste the HTML code into the program that you use to create the pages for your store.
    Show Selected HTML
    Creates a screen containing HTML code for [Add to Cart] and [View Cart] buttons for the products that you selected from the list. You can cut and paste the HTML code into the program that you use to create the pages for your store.

In your HTML authoring tool, you can change the [Add to Cart] text to whatever you need, even a small graphic.
