Sales Tax

The Sales Tax feature lets you configure ShopSite to calculate the correct sales tax for the area in which your business is located. There are many different kinds of sales taxes -- city, county, state, and even countrywide taxes in some countries -- but ShopSite makes it simple to calculate the correct tax no matter where your business is located. Begin with the region that you think your customers are most likely to be in and work outward. Most merchants in the U.S. can provide the following simple options to their customers:

"Ship within [your state]" - X % tax and"Ship outside of [your state]" - 0% tax.

The customer will then be prompted to select the proper tax rate after clicking on the [Add to Cart] button.
