Enter the information ShopSite uses to connect to the remote database
Server Hostname | Enter the domain name or IP address of your remote database server in this field. |
Server Port Number | Enter the port number to use when ShopSite connects to the remote database. The default value, 5432, is the standard port most PostgreSQL databases use. |
User | Enter the username ShopSite should use when connecting to the remote database. PCI guidelines also require that the password for the database conform to PCI standards (at least seven alphaumeric characters in length, using both letters and numbers). |
Password | Enter the password for the user account on the remote database. |
Database Name | Enter the database name ShopSite should use to store orders on the remote database server. |
After entering the remote database information, click Test Database to have ShopSite run a test to make sure it can connect to the new database. If the test is successful, you will see a success notification at the top of the screen, and a Next button appear at the bottom of the screen. If the test fails, it will return error information to help you determine what needs correcting.
After successfully testing the remote database connection, click Next to continue.
