Google Merchant Center used to support FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to submit product feed information to Google. Starting on 2023-09-15 FTP is no longer supported and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) will need to be used. In addition, as of 2023-03-22, if you had a FTP account and it had not been used for 90 days, it will be disabled by Google and you will need to switch to SFTP.
SFTP support has been added to ShopSite as of v14 sp3 r5 for the 64-bit Linux operating system. You will need this version or later if you wish to send your product feed to Google via SFTP.
Note: |
the fact that you were linked to this message indicates that you are running the 32-bit version of ShopSite and not the 64-bit version. Please contact you host about upgrading to the 64-bit version.

Once you have the correct ShopSite version you will need to go to your Merchant Center account and enable SFTP before you can configure it in ShopSite.
Manual Upload
If you wish to do a manual upload go to
Merchandising Tools > Google Services > Google Shopping/Merchant Center and click "Download Feed" then click "Download Feed" button on that page. Depending on the number of products it may take a while to generate and download the feed. Then click the "Merchant Center" button and then "Sign in to Merchant Center". Once signed into the merchant center select Products from the left menu and then click on Feeds. Then select the feed for the store and there should be a link to "Upload file" in the top right corner, go through the guided steps to upload the file. Processing the file will take some time.
