Add eBay Auction

This screen allows you to modify product information for listing on an eBay auction. ShopSite will automatically populate appropriate fields with information from your existing ShopSite product. You can review this information and adjust it to suit the auction listing.

ShopSite stores product information for eBay auctions separately from the regular store products. If you have not previously listed a product on eBay, information will be imported from your regular product information. If you have previously listed a product on eBay, the information used for the prior listing will appear on the Add Auction screen.

Once you're ready to submit your item for auction, you will be given a chance to view any listing fees you will be charged before you actually list the product on eBay. After reviewing the fees and submitting the listing, a new window will open for you to review and revise your auction on eBay's site. This lets you review your listing as it will look on eBay, and select a category for your auction.

Title and Description

Title

The auction title that will appear at the top of the auction, and on auction searches. Required.

Subtitle

Using a subtitle allows you to include additional information about the product in a highly visible location. eBay charges a small fee to have a subtitle.

Description

The description of the product included in the product listing. Required.

Pricing

Auction Type

eBay allows you to sell items as an auction or as a fixed-price item. If you are selling as a normal auction, select the radio button for Online Auction, then enter a starting price for your auction (required). You may also enter a reserve price and a buy it now price for a small fee.
To sell a fixed-price item, select the Fixed Price radio button and enter the price you want to sell the product for.

Details

Product Location

Enter a city and state where the product will ship from. Required.

Buttons

View Fees

Click on the View Fees button to get the auction listing fees for your product. The fees will be displayed at the top of the Add Auction screen, allowing you to update the auction prior to listing. Below the fees, you will have a button to List on eBay, which will let you submit the listing to eBay.

Cancel

Clicking on the Cancel button any time prior to clicking the List on eBay button will cancel the auction listing and return you to the main eBay Auctions screen.
